THE TEAM
Will Speer — Managing Director and Co-Founder. Based in London.
Will is an industry veteran with nearly 20 years’ experience in the kid’s media space. He has held senior roles at Disney, Hit Entertainment, Mattel, NBC Universal & DreamWorks across brands such as Cars, Hannah Montana, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Thomas & Friends, Trolls and How to Train your Dragon. In April 2019 Will moved to Sony Music to set up Magic Star.
Olivia Walker — Vice President and Co-Founder. Based in London.
Within her 20 years music industry experience Olivia has successfully driven many commercial opportunities, including a record-breaking No. 1 & Music Week Marketing Award-winning Elvis Presley album. She has delivered platinum-selling albums with Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton and Jeff Lynne’s ELO as well as prestigious music marketing campaigns with Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong and across multiple BBC and Nickelodeon brands. Having co-founded Magic Star in 2019 Olivia has focused on the development of the division’s roster, strategy and growth.
Daniel Haack — Vice President, Content Strategy & Business Development. Based in Los Angeles.
Daniel previously was a creative lead for YouTube Originals’ kids and family slate, developing and overseeing shows including Super Sema, The Guava Juice Show, Jam Van, Corpse Talk and more. He won a Daytime Emmy Award as a producer of StoryBots’ digital platforms and is also the author/writer of multiple picture books and podcast episodes.
Daisy Brown — Associate Director, Marketing and Music Strategy. Based in London.
Daisy has 12 years of music industry experience with 10 of the last at Sony Music in an artist marketing role. She has contributed to anniversary campaigns for artists including One Direction, Elvis Presley, Paloma Faith, Labrinth and Britney Spears. She spearheaded a Top 5 album campaign in 2021 which was Gold Certified in the UK and won a ‘BRIT Certified Breakthrough Award’. Daisy and Karen led the music and marketing strategy for ‘Peppa Meets the Baby: The Album’ by Peppa Pig, which went on to be selected as a ‘Campaign of the Year’ by MusicAlly in 2025.
David Hart — Senior Campaign Manager. Based in London.
David has over 10 years of marketing and project management experience within the entertainment industry. Prior to joining Magic Star David worked on film & TV retail campaigns for the likes of Disney, Warner Bros., Universal and Fox, winning a couple of industry awards along the way, including BASE awards for Retail Innovation in 2018 and Campaign of the Year in 2019 with Universal Pictures.
Karen D’Arcangelo — Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Campaigns. Based in Dubai.
Karen has 10 years of experience in the social media, digital marketing and project management industry. Prior to being part of the Magic Star starting team at Sony Music, Karen worked at Time Out London leading on global digital projects like the digitalisation of the Time Out’s Love London awards, and at ITV coordinating the release of award winning social content for ITV’s four main channels. She has also founded her own Social Media & Content Creation agency helping companies such as YKK, Hype grow their social media presence. Karen and Daisy led the music and marketing strategy for ‘Peppa Meets the Baby: The Album’ by Peppa Pig, which went on to be selected as a ‘Campaign of the Year’ by MusicAlly in 2025.
